The 2014 (1/2 oz) Silver Great White Shark coin is the first release of the Perth Mint (Silver Shark Series) with a maximum mintage of only 300,000 coins! Something special for any collector or the perfect gift!
The great white shark is a type of large lamniform shark, which can be found in coastal waters throughout the world. They are the largest apex predator in the ocean with an average size of 15 feet in length and can weighing up to 5,000 pounds. They live mostly in the upper part of the ocean, closer to the surface, and close to shore.
The obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elisabeth II with Ian Rank-Broadly likeness. It also shows the face value of “50 CENTS”, country of “AUSTRALIA”, and “ELIZABETH II”.
The reverse features a detailed Great White Shark swimming in the ocean with silhouettes in the background. Engravings on this side includes the year issue “2014”, the weight “1/2 OZ”, the purity “999 SILVER”, the mintmark “P” and the design inscription “Great White Shark”. Order yours today!
